Hi, I'm Firat: a political scientist and public administrator by training, and a Sustainability & ESG professional driven by a strong commitment to climate action, responsible business, and climate-related human mobility.
With a Ph.D. focused on climate change and human mobility, I bring a cross-sector background spanning academia, NGOs, and global companies including Shell and Google. I currently work as a Sustainability Specialist at DSV, where I support ESG data management, reporting processes, performance improvement, and alignment with sustainability goals.
Alongside my corporate sustainability work, I teach and publish on sustainability, human rights, globalization, international relations, and the political and economic impacts of climate change.
What motivates me most is connecting research with action. I enjoy translating complex sustainability and ESG topics into practical, meaningful steps that teams can understand, implement, and improve over time, whether through ESG training, reporting improvements, stakeholder collaboration, or mentoring students.
